Getting The Most From Your Smoke Odor Exterminator Candle

Smokers and non-smokers both love our Smoke Odor Eliminator Candles.  In fact, the staff here at Smoker’s Outlet Online love them, too!  I’m currently enjoying the Apple Pumpkin candle.

Here’s a few tips to maximize your enjoyment of your candles, regardless of the brand.

Flip your Lid!

Leave the lid off when the candle is not lit.  It will still give off a pleasing aroma, though obviously not as strong.

Trim the wick

Next, it’s important to keep the wick trimmed. This will reduce soot and also make the candle last longer by reducing the size of the flame.  We sell a handy wick trimming tool but you can just a pair of scissors.  Important: trim the wick when the candle is cold.  You don’t want the wick to fall into the hot wax when you cut it.  So, just get into the habit of trimming the wick before you light it.  I like to trim it back to about 1/4 inch.

Easy on the breeze

It’s best to keep the candle away from fans and windows.  Wind will make the flame bigger and that increases soot and shortens the life of your candle. The aroma of our Smoke Odor Exterminator Candles spreads pretty far.  I was burning my candle in my office the other day and one of our Customer Service reps down the hall could smell it.  And, of course, she loved it!
